Along came a spider from Zazzle.com
An acrylic painting on canvas...of a little tiny faerie in a spider's lair. There's a redback spider dropping down onto her wing, and in the shadowy background there is a huge wolfspider... the faerie is dressed in a grey tutu and she wears a blood red horned helmet... she carries a speckled golden yellow egg in her hands...
I painted this for the Enchanted Visions April theme.
I had a little story to go along with the painting, and now cannae find it, but basically it was that the faeries and the spiders are at war... and the faeries are always having to rescue their eggs. Sometimes they win and they get their eggs back...sometimes they don't. I don't that this little faerie is looking too lucky...

Elf extras wanted on Hobbit movie...
This one is only for folks who live in New Zealand, or have a valid New Zealand work permit. The production of the Hobbit films is currently looking for people to play Elven Horse riders and Elven extras. The Elven physical build is tall and slender. You’ll also need to be aged between 17 and 40 years old, and be 6ft or taller for guys, and 5ft 9 or taller for girls.
The casting date is Saturday 26th February 2011 at 9.30 – 12pm AND 1.30 – 3pm at Te Whaea – National Dance and Drama Centre, 11 Hutchinson Rd, Newtown, Wellington NZ.
If you do NOT fit into these height ranges please do not apply. There will be casting calls in other cities as required.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
(Bummer, why do I have to be SHORT and live in AUS???)

I can't get this song out of my head... I liked her up until her meat dress, which I thought tacky, sans class & plain ugly. Not sure what her point was there but I didn't get it.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to fellow bloggers (especially all the ZazzlerDazzlers) let's hope this year is a bigger, better and busier year than ever before! I for one have plenty of ideas for new fairies, elves, and lowbrow original art. Now if only I could find the time to get them all painted!
